I think this commercial is effective. First, it has a good opening scene showing a silly guy who sounds like Mr Bean. It attracts the audiences attention by using humor and sexy models and make them keep watching the commercial on. In the middle of the commercial, it actually has this 'surpise'(the resistance) that surprised everyone. It also ends with a very strong and powerful ending with the guy taking the females' bottom in the water using the product they are advertising for. The storyline of this commercial is very appealing and the message it wants to bring across is very clear.It also has clear sound effects and voices(the camera shutter sound) which add on to the humor part of this commercial.The last part of the commercial is also funny and will re-enforce the humor they used earlier on in the commercial, thus making this commercial an effective and memorable one.

Target audience : Adults from age 35 onwards.

As we grown older, our brain system will start to deteriorate and we might not be able to think as well as before. I think this advertisement for the healthcare product call GinGold Ginkgo leaf extract formula works as it says that it actually helps the person to prevent your brain from ageing so quickly. It basically stated a lot of benefits that sounds very convincing as i think all human beings will be scared of ageing and would want a healthier brain and body. That's why this advertisement works as it make those ageing adults think that if they consume this, they can age slower and become healthier.

This is the final design that I've chosen as the rebranded logo.For the word 'ADIDAS', i use the font "Impact" because i want to show adidas that its strong and bold as how the font looks like.I kept the idea of using the three strips as i think that this symbolises Adidas a lot. I made this logo looks like a running track that has a shape of a mountain as i wanted to portray that Adidas will keep running on and stay strong no matter what obstacles and challenges it'll face,and eventually, it'll scale new heights.

Burger King

In 1969, Burger King established its famous Burger King “bun halves” logo that lasted till early 1990s. It was created to signify the eatery’s association with hamburgers. The earlier version of Burger King logo featured the name “Burger King” in orange placed in-between two ochre semi-circular buns.The Burger KIng logo is later modernized by giving it a smoother typeface with rounder edge. The graphical tightening of the font replaced the obsolete "bulging" font to suit the advertising needs.

The Burger King logo was then modified again in 1999.he color of the restaurant’s name in the new Burger King logo was changed from ochre to orange. A blue swirl was added in the new Burger King logo which wrapped the burger, giving the Burger King logo a circular appearance. The new Burger King logo also tilts the bun halves and the font on an axis making it contemporary and at the same time relevant.Gradually, the new Burger King logo is endorsed by all of the Burger King outlets and the new logo had branded the company's hamburger business.

FedEx

FedEx is an abbreviation of the company’s original name, Federal Express, which was chosen to symbolize a national marketplace and help in obtaining government contracts. Walt Disney
The Walt Disney logo, like the company, has served as a beacon for decent family entertainment and worldwide recognition. The Walt Disney logo is a ‘stylized version of the founder’s signature’ that signifies the brand name and promises secure, cheerful and quality American mainstream entertainment.

Other than the regular logo, the company uses different logos on its different products. A castle on a blue background version of the Walt Disney logo is used for the movie releases and as the curtain-raiser to its films.

The newspaper i used for this assignment is the most read english paper in Singapore,The Straits Times.I chosed it because basically it has more content to let me compare.

Basically, the most significant difference between the weekdays and weekends paper for The Straits Times is the content and quantity of the news. The weekends paper has actually about double the content compared to the weekdays papers.The design of the papers are mostly the same for both weekdays and weekends.

Weekdays paper normally focuse on eduacation and innovation which is targeting on students as most secondary school in Singapore have subscribed The Straits Times for their reading periods. For the weekends papers, they focuses more on business.They even have interviews on people who suceeded in the business that they set up themselves.Moreover,articles like 'Work can be Fun'.I think this is to put in a positive attitude towards the people working in this competitive society, especially the youngsters.Weekends papers also has a lot of additional articles such as special report,science and world sessions.

I've also notice a different in the advertisements between the weekdays and weekends papers. Weekdays paper tend to have more advertisements on education and studies,for example, advertising for a private school. While weekends paper tend to have more advertisements on electricity appliances, furnitures and mobile phones.

I conclusion, I think the news and advertisements in The Straits Times on weekdays papers are more for the young people and the weekends ones are more for the adults.

This commercial used the latest "transformer" trend to bring out the special functions and features of the cars which makes this commercial a totally cool and awesome one.Its trying to show that their cars is made to have the 'capabilities' to drive in other places like rocky and desert areas other than roads. This advertisement will definitely attract adventurous travellers who wants to get wild in the nature.

Honda car advertisement

Spin:Honda car can make things work just by imagination .

The usage of mechanism in this advertisment attracted me and the on-going activity of the mechanism keeps me interested to this advertisment.They brillantly used the complexity of mechanism to bring out that "things just work, for honda cars". Thus,it means that any complex would just work if you get a honda car.

The car crash test is trying to show that the cars are so durable that no matter how hard it crashes,it would still work. It makes people feel that these cars are very safe to drive even if it meets up with an accident. Its clear that this advertisment is trying to show that the car is so powerful and fast that not anybody can drive and withstand the pressure of it. Thus,the person who wants to drive this car has to go through a series of tests to test out whether he's suitable to drive it or not. This advertiment would propably attract those driver who loves fast car.

This advertisment is trying to show that its a car that you gotta own it no matter what. Its quite a funny advertisment which will attract all age range of people to watch this. I think this would attract people with bigger family to buy it.

In conclusion,i think that the different brands and cars in the automobile industry is trying to attract only a certain kind of people to buy their product. For example, for the BMW E92 M3, its trying to attract those who loves speed and its probably a car not designed for elder people but youngsters. And for the Nissan car commercial,its definitely attracting people who loves adventure. Thus, different car brands is targetting on a certain age group of people and not all. It makes those people who likes for example,speed, to buy the car cause of the desire to speed. The cars are designed to meet the needs and also desires of the consumers who wants to buy a car that they want.

This is a picture of a japanese anime called Atashinchi.This anime is about a family and their daily life and routine.This anime is something like Crayon Shinchan as their both funny and cute.Usually,I like to watch these 2 animes during my free time as i feel relax when i watch them...cause they make me laugh,and by laughing,i can destress.Haha.

The characters are in weird appearances,maybe the person who draw them wanted to stand them out and makes them more funny and cute.And i want to recommend this anime too.Its nice.And the best thing is,you can destress by watching them.

ok,for today,basically i was rushing for my project which i need to present it tomorrow .i was damn stressed up in the afternoon because my concept was rejected by my leaturer miss Tina.i was damn depressed.But luckily i lunch with cathi and her friends.Her friends are funny people and i LOVE THEM LOTS!!!I just simply can't stop laughing when i'm with them.

I JUST LOVE THEM>.<

Then after all the fun,i went back to class and rushed for my work again.And now,i'm DONE with it!This is the first time that i finished my project so early on thursday.hahas...ok,feeling so damn hungry...gotta eat NOW!

IT WAS MOTHER DAY YESTERDAY!

i celebrated it at my aunt's house.My cousins, siblings shared money and bought a CHOCOLATE cake.Its really a FULL-of-CHOCOLATE chocolate cake as its chocolate spongecake covered with chocolate cream(which turns hard when put into the frige).The cake may sounds and indeed it looked good but,we all became sick of it after eating a few mouthful.It was a thoughtful but yucky Mother's day...hahaz.

This is a screenshot from a car advertisement ,BMW.The screenshot on the right is the orginal shot and the one on the left is the edited one.For the advertisement,a CG rainstorm is made by using after effects plug-ins and automated rotoscoping.The whole visual contrast of the 2 shots is big as obviously the atmosphere for the edited one is darker then the original one.The left one has a low contrast and the right one has a higher contrast.The car in the edited one looks more lively and style as compared to the original one.The background colour of the edited one is dimmed to make it looks more like the car is really in a rainstorm.The mountain and clouds in the background make me feel even more that the car is really in a rainstorm.The edited one gives me a dull feeling as caused by the rainstorm.

One of the beautiful form of nature is flower.I chosed them because they are beautiful and they brightens me up as they have striking colours.They represent the beauty of nature and the liveliness of it.

ii)design inspired by forms of life

This is an interesting painting as the artist(ernst haeckel)combined a wide variety of sea-squirt in this piece.I like the illustration of the squirts as its very detailed.I can see the every features of the creature and can observe it clearly.

I find this picture interesing as the artist(ernst haeckel)painted it from life.He modified and linked many pitcher plants together in this piece of painting.The curlicue stems and tendrils lend this drawing a decidedly Art Nouveau flair.

YO!YESTERDAY WAS SO FUN MAN!

During the afternoon,We(MGBD students) went on an excursion to BLACKMAGIC DESIGN company.the co. is small yet it has all the devices that's needed.There's one 1.5 million device and i actually touched it!it feels real good when u get to touch such expensive stuff!But for the whole trip,i simply just don't understand what the person(who is working there) was talking about.i nearly doze off too..haha..

THEN after the trip,almost ALL SIDM's(nyp-sch of interactive media and design)students went to watch SPIDERMAN 3!It was damn cool as the whole cinema is packed by SIDM'S STUDENT!

The Spiderman 3 is a GREAT movie!Its better then the first and second one.The audio and visual effects are damn good!the whole movie is exciting from the beggining till the end.i especially like the part when the another black spiderman is created. Its damn exciting when he fought with the real spiderman.And the real spiderman turned abit nasty when he becomes the black spiderman.He just walk slong the street and do stupid stuff and he even did something bad just to annoy mary jane.The sad thing is,Harry osborn died!He died in order to protect his friends.its as damn touching and its no doubt that many cried!even my guy friend!haha...but everything comes to a happy ending which is expected.

Fifth entry(last friday):

It was the day for the final presentation for the project "WHO AM I?".My video didn't get much response and i'm kind of disappointed in my work too.Its because i didn't manage to put in another song that i wanted to use it for my video,and its kind of important to put it in as it has to do with the changing of the mood of my video.So,in the end i just put one song only and it just screwed up the audio part.And my colour in my video is not well used and the colour contrast is too big(i guess)...there's a few videos that i like alot,like natasha's lim video,which is about how to make a natasha.she used "ingredients" which is her personality such as kindness and feminity, and she mixed everything together to make herself.she used a cute girl to mix the ingredient to make her and then after that she popped out.its a refreshing and fun video.

another video that i like alot is rachel's video.She used the game concept,super mario,which is very fun and fresh.

I did this after doing this blog.Cause i wanted to like create something that represents me.As in i'm living in a blah-ever world and do lots of stupid thing and whatever i do i just don't care about anything.And so I'm the serene who live in a blah-ever world.>.<

Last thurs i was just rushing for my work and i nearly breakdown.My finished video(for the project,Who Am I?) suddenly can't render and i freaked out and panicked...i totally blank out as it was already 10 plus in the night and if the video fails to render,i have to do it all over again which is impossible to finish it in such a short period.Luckily after a few more tries,it rendered!I was damn happy!All of us were damn high after we finished our work.

And of course,we are damn tired too.

IT WAS LABOUR DAY!So,i went out shopping with anqi for clothes for my presentation that friday.Then,to my horror,my ez-link card EXPIRED!I tapped my ezlink card on the card reader in the bus and it went "di,di,di,di"!But i find it weird cause i just topped up my ezlink card 2 days ago.I tapped again and its went"di,di,di,di!" again.Then,the bus driver told me that my card is expired.Then,i went to have my money inside the card to be refund and my card was retured.and now,i've no ezlink card and my tertiary ezlink card is not done yet-.-'''sianzzzz....

I've been BRAINSTORMING ideas for advertisement such as handphones and toothpaste.One of my idea is:
There's a guy who likes a girl for a very long time.He always wanted to confess to the girl but he's just not confident enough.Then,wadever brand handphone is created.He finally plucked up his courage,called her and confessed.The girl accepted and she likes him alot too but she's also not confident enough to confess to him.Luckily there's this handphone."It express your feelings"

ok,after brainstorming for this idea,i find it kind of stupid.cause,it need not be this particular brand of handphone that helps to convey your message.Any particular brand can does that too and it need not be a handphone,it can be a telephone too.

Life story 1:
ok,i'll be blogging about what happened last mon-.-'''...although it's already past.
Last mon,and of course,i went to school(NYP)....then after lesson,me,cheow fern,shawna,cathi,xinyi and davina went to play(cam-whoring too!) at the playground in my school...i know its childish...but i wasn't really playing...i was just ACCOMPANYING them...ahaha...
